Our flagship collection of wide-plank European oak, crafted in the Italian tradition of understated refinement. Each color is a distinct expression of natural grain, curated for interiors that demand character without compromise.
Grain, Finish & Installation
Every plank in the Italia Classics Collection begins with carefully selected European oak, sawn to reveal the natural cathedral graining and subtle mineral streaks that define premium engineered hardwood. Rift and quartered boards add linear refinement, while plain-sawn cuts showcase sweeping grain movement — giving each floor a one-of-a-kind character that printed surfaces cannot replicate. The result is a living, breathing surface whose tone deepens and matures with age and light exposure, developing a patina that only real wood can offer.
The Italia Classics Collection is offered in two finish families. UV-cured urethane finishes lock in a hard, scratch-resistant wear layer that resists fading and stands up to busy households, requiring only routine sweeping and damp mopping. Hardwax oil finishes penetrate the wood fiber to deliver a matte, ultra-natural feel underfoot and allow easy spot repairs, making them ideal for design-led interiors where authenticity matters. Both finishes are low-VOC and family safe.
Engineered construction keeps these floors dimensionally stable across humidity changes, supporting floating, glue-down, and nail-down installations over wood or concrete subfloors. Proper acclimation, jobsite moisture testing, and a flat, clean subfloor remain essential — follow NWFA and Müller Graff guidelines before installation. With a substantial wear layer, these boards can be refinished, extending service life across decades and protecting the long-term value of your investment.
